Job description

Fluid Recruitment working alongside a medium-sized engineering consultancy firm providing land development services across the country. The organisation has 4 offices across the South Island and are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Christchurch team. They will be hitting the ground running working on a mixture of high end residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. With a flat organisation structure, you'll be reporting directly to the directors and leading a team of experienced engineers.

The successful candidate will immediately be given responsibility over important projects locally and utilising their expertise to review and submit design work completed from engineers within their team.

You will have
  • A recognised degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 7 years of New Zealand land development experience
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders
  • Approaching or on track to becoming a Chartered Professional (CPEng)
  • Demonstrated track record reviewing designs and providing wider QA
  • Extensive expertise in civil engineering principles, codes, and standards
  • Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with contract management and tendering claims
  • Exceptional analytical skills, adept at problem-solving and decision-making
The role

In the role you will have responsibilities ranging from technical design and review to business development and providing leadership to more junior engineers. With large-scale projects in the pipeline, clear personal and design related communication is crucial.
