Inspired Education Group is seeking a full-time secondary teacher for senior chemistry and middle school science at ACG Parnell in Auckland. The role offers a dynamic urban learning environment and opportunities to contribute to Cambridge curriculum delivery and student development.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (Secondary) or equivalent.
• Accreditation with New Zealand Education Council.
• Prepared to undertake a New Zealand police check prior to commencing the position.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining New Zealand teaching accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum expertise: Proven experience planning and delivering engaging units aligned to the New Zealand Curriculum, with accurate assessment and clear records of progress.
• Effective classroom practice: Create a positive, well-organised learning environment, set purposeful homework/extension tasks, and use varied strategies to support strong academic progress for all learners.
• Assessment & reporting: Designing valid assessments, moderating standards, providing timely feedback, and communicating progress to students and parents.
• EdTech & contemporary pedagogy: Integrating technology and modern teaching approaches (e.g., inquiry, design thinking, workshop-based learning) to build problem-solving, independence, and curiosity.
• Pastoral care & behaviour management: Consistent, fair, and calm approach as a tutor and classroom teacher; provide additional academic/pastoral support.
• Collaboration & contribution: Work as a team, share resources, engage in appraisal/PLD, support school events and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Education

Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent
