Job summary

SYOS is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to design and develop software powering autonomous vehicle systems. You will own projects, collaborate across engineering teams and contribute across the full software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in commercial C++ development and experience with Linux, Python, ROS and embedded systems. Docker, CI/CD and Git experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of commercial C++ software development.
• Experience with robotics, autonomous or real-time software is desirable.
• Strong OO design, data structures and software engineering principles.
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software for autonomous vehicle systems.
• Write clean, efficient C++ code following best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate software into vehicles.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering culture.
• Debug, profile and optimise software for performance and reliability.
• Maintain structured Git repositories, build systems and workflows.
• Take ownership of assigned modules and stay updated on technologies.
