Best Practice Lawyers in Foxton (Kapiti Coast) seeks a Senior Associate Lawyer to manage a genuine senior caseload across Property, Relationship Property, and other general practice areas. You will own files from instruction to completion, with direct client contact and a clear pathway toward partnership or ownership.

The role offers flexibility around hours and location, with a supportive team and emphasis on personal balance, client development, and autonomy in how matters are run.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years PQE with senior-level experience across Property, Relationship property, dispute resolution, Commercial or Family Law
• Track record or potential to build and grow your own client base
• Strong people skills and trusted by clients
• Good commercial judgment and problem-solving instincts
• Client-focused with ability to explain complex matters simply
• Self-directed, autonomous work style
• Existing client base or referral network is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carry a genuine senior caseload from instruction to completion across a broad generalist practice
• Inherit an active set of files from day one and build your own client base over time
• You are the lawyer clients deal with directly and decide how matters are run
• Maintain a balance between high-quality work and work-life balance; no unnecessary overtime or overbearing billable targets
