Job summary

Watercare Services Limited in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Air Quality Technician to join our environmental team. You will conduct discharge stack emissions testing across sites nationwide, gathering accurate monitoring data and maintaining ISO 17025 quality systems.

The role requires at least 3 years in environmental monitoring, a Science or Engineering degree, a full driver’s license, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical report writing with attention to detail.
• Experience communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality requirements in lab environments.
• Ability to plan and organise fieldwork and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective site investigations and sampling plans.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate sampling equipment and analysers.
• Write customer reports with peer review to ensure defensible results.
• Collaborate with a team of air quality technicians and clients.
• Submit samples for analysis and reporting of results.
• Maintain ISO 17025 documentation and support quality improvements.
