Job summary

The Warehouse Group in Wellington is seeking a Part-time Self Checkout Team Member to support customers at Lyall Bay. You will guide customers to the next available checkout and help them at the self-checkout.

Experience in customer-facing roles is a plus, but not essential. Strong communication, a positive attitude, and ability to stand for long periods are important. This role offers flexible hours including Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Having experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial, but it's not essential.
• Good communication skills are essential, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn is a must.
• Additionally, you should be comfortable standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at self-checkouts and guide them to the next available checkout.
• Provide fast, friendly service and help customers with packing bags.
• Support the loss prevention team by raising concerns and keeping the area tidy and customer-ready.

Hours of work are :

• Friday: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Often serving as the last point of contact, you'll be helping our customers through our self checkouts. Whether it providing them with speedy service or helping them pack their bags.You'll have the patience and resilience to handle even the most challenging situations easily, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.As a mobile member of the team, you'll be quick on your feet, guiding customers to the next available checkout and responding to their needs with precision and efficiency.

You'll also be an integral part in assisting our loss prevention team, bringing concerns to their attention and ensuring the area is always customer-ready, with bags stocked and areas tidy.
