Job summary

Ice Security Limited in Auckland is seeking a service-first security technician to diagnose and repair faults across access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and intercom systems. You’ll work on a broad platform mix and handle small install/upgrade jobs while keeping established systems running smoothly.

The role requires 5–10 years in electronic security, hands-on experience with Gallagher and CCTV/VMS platforms, COA security endorsement, and a NZ driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' experience in electronic security
• Solid hands-on experience across access control and CCTV/VMS platforms including brands listed
• Full NZ driver's licence
• Certificate of Approval (COA) with Security Technician endorsement
• Comfortable working independently on-site and communicating with clients
• NZ-based service role in Auckland/Wiri area

Responsibilities

• Produce clear condition reports
• Pick up small installation and upgrade jobs when they come up
• Work from site drawings, cable schedules and system documentation

Ice Security Limited – Auckland, North Island

This is a service-first role diagnosing and fixing access control, CCTV, intruder alarm and intercom faults across a wide base of commercial, industrial and government sites. Small install and upgrade work comes up from time to time, but the core of the job is keeping existing systems running properly. You'll be working on a genuinely broad, high-end platform mix including access control (Gallagher, Protege WX/GX, Inner Range Inception & Integriti), CCTV / VMS (Genetec, Milestone, NX Witness, Hikvision, Dahua), and intercom (Aiphone, Akuvox).

Key responsibilities

Diagnose and repair faults on access control, CCTV, alarm and intercom systems at client sites

Pick up small installation and upgrade jobs when they come up

Work from site drawings, cable schedules and system documentation

Communicate clearly with clients on site, explain the fault and the fix in plain English

Participate in the after-hours callout roster

About you

5–10 years' experience in electronic security, ideally weighted toward service and fault-finding rather than install-only work

Solid hands-on experience across access control and CCTV/VMS platforms — ideally including several of the brands listed

Confident with structured cabling, low-voltage wiring and IP networking fundamentals

A methodical approach — you diagnose before you swap parts

Full NZ driver's licence

Certificate of Approval (COA) with Security Technician endorsement

Comfortable working independently on-site and communicating directly with clients
