Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd in New Zealand (Northland) is seeking a School Support Professional to provide logistical and technical assistance to science teachers, preparing and maintaining materials and apparatus for practical work.

The role includes upkeep of outdoor green learning spaces through horticultural activities and maintenance of Vegepods and self-watering timers, plus ensuring laboratory safety and risk assessments are followed.

Responsibilities

• Provide logistical and technical support to the teachers-in-charge of Science, contributing to students’ learning experience by assisting with the preparation and maintenance of materials/apparatus for practical work.
• Upkeep and maintain the school’s outdoor green learning spaces through regular horticultural activities including deweeding, plant pruning, fruit protection, and harvesting, as well as propagation and replacement of plants, and routine maintenance and servicing of Vegepods and self-watering timers.
• Ensure laboratory safety rules and risk-assessment guidelines are adhered to through proper housekeeping and regular maintenance of safety equipment and fittings in the Science laboratory.
• Assist HOD(Science) to collate existing resources, maintain stock checks, place orders, take care of deliveries and invoices as well as keep departmental financial records.
• Perform any other duty assigned by School Leaders, HOD(Science) and other assigned School Staff.

and servicing of associated equipment such as Vegepods and self-

watering timers.

(c) Ensure laboratory safety rules and risk-assessment guidelines are

adhered to through proper housekeeping and regular maintenance of

safety equipments and fittings in the Science laboratory.

(d) Assist HOD(Science) to collate existing resources, maintain stock

checks, place orders, take care of deliveries and invoices as well as
