Job summary

Tranzit Group in Palmerston North is seeking confident and safe drivers to join the Tranzit Coachlines Manawatu team. The school bus runs offer a minimum of 15 hours per week, with permanent and casual positions available and holidays off.

Routes service Ashhurst school destinations from Palmerston North. Extensive training will be provided; successful applicants must hold a Passenger Endorsement and a Class 2 licence, pass background checks, and comply with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Passenger Endorsement and Class 2 licence required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented with a safety focus.
• Willingness to pass background and police checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive school bus routes operating from Palmerston North to Ashhurst.
• Maintain safety, courtesy and reliability on all runs.
• Adhere to health and safety rules and cleaning regulations.
• Attend training and pass background checks as required.

Tranzit are looking for awesome drivers to join their Tranzit Coachlines Manawatu team. We are wanting to hear from confident and safe drivers who love to support their local community.

Our school bus runs offer a minimum of 15 hours per week, allowing you the opportunity to have time to yourself during the day and school holidays off. These runs will start from Palmerston North and service Ashhurst school routes. We have both permanent and casual positions available.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have

• A Passenger Endorsement and Class 2 licence,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• A positive outlook and a team player - we are social!
• A high regard for health and safety,
• The ability to help carry out the new cleaning regulations is essential,
• The ability to pass a background and police check,

Extensive training will be given to the successful applicants from our approved industry training assessors.
