Maeroa Intermediate in the Waikato is seeking a motivated teacher for a fixed-term, full-time role from 01/09/2026 to 16/12/2026 with start negotiable. The position covers Years 1–8 in a collaborative, manaakitanga‑driven classroom. Applicants must hold a NZ Practising Certificate and have NZ experience; strong maths teaching is a welcome asset. School visits are welcome.

Qualifications

Looking for a rewarding fixed-term role in a supportive, well-established classroom? We have an exciting short-term position available for an immediate start (or by negotiation) through to the end of the school year.

You’ll be joining a collaborative co‑teaching environment with a fantastic, well‑embedded culture of manaakitanga. Strong relational skills and enthusiasm for team teaching are a must. Confidence in teaching mathematics would be a wonderful asset to our team and complement our existing class strengths.
