Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate School in Auckland is seeking an experienced and passionate scale A teacher to lead an emotional regulation programme and provide targeted literacy and mathematics teaching.

The role focuses on creating engaging, inclusive learning environments, building resilience, and strengthening partnerships with whānau and external agencies to support student success and wellbeing.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly effective scale A teacher to join our team.

This unique role combines the design and delivery of a relevant and engaging emotional regulation programme with targeted literacy and mathematics teaching that supports students to achieve success both in the classroom and beyond.

The successful applicant will:

• Design and deliver an evidence-informed emotional regulation programme that builds resilience, self-management, and confidence.
• Deliver engaging literacy and mathematics programmes that accelerate student learning and achievement.
• Create positive, inclusive learning environments where students feel safe, connected, and ready to learn.
