Job summary

Hay Park School in Auckland is seeking two Scale A classroom teachers to join from 28 January 2027. This is a full-time fixed-term position ending 17 December 2027, aligned to roll fluctuations.

Roles cover Year 2 and Year 3 across the primary/intermediate, with focus on engaging learning across English, maths and the NZ curriculum. You will be energetic, passionate, NZ trained and registered, able to collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to schoolwide programmes and activities.

Qualifications

• Must be NZ trained and registered teachers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 2 and Year 3 classes.

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts

Due to a large cohort of current Year 2 tamariki and changes to the New Zealand Curriculum, we are seeking energetic, passionate, NZ trained and registered teachers to join our team from the beginning of 2027, fixed term for a year, for Year 2 and Year 3 classes.

We are looking for teachers who love to have fun with learning, have high standards and expectations, the ability and drive to improve learning and student achievement, while ensuring that learning is fun, challenging and engaging for our tamariki. We need creative teachers with a really positive approach, who can work as part of a team and will contribute to schoolwide programmes and activities.
