About the role

As Halter scales into multiple hardware products and geographies, the gap between planned and produced output has real consequences. The Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Lead owns the S&OP process at Halter—cadence, data, conversations, and decisions. This is Halter’s first dedicated S&OP role, so you’ll design the process from scratch, building cadence and tooling while uniting commercial and operations teams to create a trusted shared plan.

Who we’re looking for
  • Design and own the end-to-end S&OP cadence at Halter, from demand review through supply review to executive S&OP.
  • Facilitate the monthly S&OP cycle, bringing together commercial, forecasting, supply planning, and operations stakeholders to a consensus plan.
  • Identify mismatches between demand and supply early, quantify the impact, and drive cross-functional conversations to resolve them.
  • Maintain a clear view of inventory and availability across the product portfolio and markets.
  • Manage planning across Halter's international markets, accounting for different lead times, freight modes, regulatory requirements, and demand patterns by region.
  • Prepare executive S&OP meetings so leadership can focus on decisions, surfacing key trade-offs with a recommended path.
  • Track actions and commitments from S&OP and hold teams accountable to them.
  • Continuously improve the S&OP process as Halter scales and planning maturity increases.
  • Build and maintain reporting and visibility to understand supply health and forecast accuracy, giving leadership a clear view of risks.
What your day could look like
  • Experience running S&OP or integrated business planning in a hardware or manufacturing environment; you own the process, not just participate.
  • Experience building or significantly improving an S&OP process, not just inheriting a mature one.
  • Exceptional facilitation and meeting design skills to align stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical ability with complex data, planning models, and stress-tested assumptions.
  • Commercial and operational fluency to discuss demand risk with sales and lead time exposure with supply planning.
  • Bias for action and resolution; comfortable with ambiguity and unresolved imbalances in the plan.
  • Low ego; comfortable with difficult conversations and challenging constraints while remaining open to new ideas.
Our Benefits
  • Delicious snacks and drinks for daily use.
  • Health coverage through Southern Cross Health Insurance to support well-being.
  • 6 months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 4 weeks for secondary caregivers, plus other parental benefits.
  • Annual $1000 personal growth budget for development.
  • Wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
  • Inclusive remuneration including salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
Our Office First Approach

We value in-person connection. Being office-first is a core part of our culture, while remaining flexible as needed. We trust our team to make the right decisions for Halter, and our high-energy environment supports growth and collaboration.

Your growth and impact are unlimited here, driven by solving problems, innovating, and continuous learning.
