Sales Executive – Hospitality – Wellington Based

Our client is a fast-growing hospitality group with a portfolio of high-quality accommodation properties in Wellington. They are seeking a driven and proactive Sales Executive to be based in Wellington, taking responsibility for growing corporate, leisure, and long-stay business across the Wellington region.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hospitality sales professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, driving revenue, and working across multiple sites in a dynamic, guest-focused environment. About the Role

As Sales Executive, you’ll play a hands‑on role in growing revenue, securing new business, and maintaining strong client relationships across the Wellington portfolio. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team and have the opportunity to help shape and execute targeted sales strategies.

You’ll be supported by a collaborative internal team focused on delivering seamless guest experiences and strong operational support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and online travel agents (OTAs)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including government departments, event organisers, project-based long stays, and sports teams
  • Promote accommodation offerings and packages that align with client needs
  • Lead site visits and property tours for prospective clients and partners
  • Negotiate and prepare client proposals and contracts
  • Track booking trends and performance data to inform sales decisions
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build visibility and partnerships
  • Work closely with marketing and reservations to ensure seamless guest journeys
  • Support the delivery of occupancy and revenue targets across the Wellington portfolio
  • Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead
About You

You’re a confident, relationship‑driven sales professional with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of hospitality sales. You work well independently, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and are motivated by results.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in hotel or accommodation sales
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong understanding of sales pipelines and client account management
  • Knowledge of hospitality systems (e.g. PMS, channel managers, CRM tools)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Professional presentation and a client‑first mindset
  • High attention to detail and a results‑driven attitude
  • Hospitality or business qualification (preferred but not essential)
