Responsibilities

As a Sales Consultant, you'll drive TMC's business growth by building strong client relationships and offering expert guidance on truck trailer and body purchases. You'll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, while ensuring a seamless customer experience. Your role will include:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with a focus on selling truck trailers and bodies to B2B customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to delivery.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including service and finance departments, to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform sales strategies.
  • Provide product demonstrations and technical guidance to customers to assist with decision-making.
To Succeed in This Role You Will Be/have:
  • Proven sales experience in the trucking, capital equipment, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of trucks, machinery, or heavy equipment is essential.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and a customer-centric approach to sales.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Valid New Zealand driver’s license and the ability to travel across Auckland.
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
