Education Review Office is seeking Review Officers to undertake review and regulatory activity across hostels, private schools and charter schools in New Zealand. You will gather and analyse evidence, identify risks and areas for improvement, and contribute to balanced, evidence-based judgements and reporting.

Build constructive relationships with proprietors, boards and school leaders to support rigorous, fair reviews.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the New Zealand education system.
  • Strong understanding of hostels, private schools and/or charter schools.
  • Experience in evaluation, review, quality assurance, regulation or compliance environments.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex information and make sound, evidence-based judgements.
  • Strong written communication and report-writing capability.
  • Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism and impartiality.
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to equitable outcomes for learners.

These roles play an important part in supporting high-quality education, learner wellbeing, regulatory compliance and public confidence in New Zealand's education system.As a Review Officer, you'll gather and analyse evidence, identify strengths, risks and areas for improvement, and contribute to balanced, evidence-based judgements and reporting.
