Oranga Tamariki in Invercargill is seeking casual Tamariki & Rangatahi Resource Workers who can transport tamariki and rangatahi to school, appointments, activities and respite. The role may require weekends and overnight stays, with travel occasionally including overnight stops.

You will support, mentor and walk alongside tamariki and rangatahi, while possibly assisting Social Workers. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential for accurate incident records to social workers.

Qualifikationen

• Flexibility to work varying hours including weekends and potentially overnight stays.
• Patience, empathy and an ability to see past what someone might be struggling with.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to adapt to your audience, be able to prepare an accurate, understandable, and usable report or incident record to social workers.
• Demonstrate tolerance and understanding in challenging situations.
• Ability to work in New Zealand and hold a clean current full driver’s licence.
• Understanding of Tikanga Māori & Pacific Island cultures.
