Job summary

The Helier by Oceania is a world-class retirement living and care community in New Zealand seeking a Care Associate who is passionate about excellence in clinical work and resident experience.

You will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse to ensure high-quality care, while upholding Oceania Healthcare policies and audit requirements. Right to work in NZ is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or other relevant experience.
• Experience in private nursing or private hospital level of service.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of the ageing process and complex needs.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• A compassionate and empathetic manner.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and a high level of professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with delivery of a Primary Nursing Care Model that is resident focused.
• Developing and maintaining a holistic therapeutic relationship with residents; providing excellent, safe care.
• Contributing to residents needs assessment as required, follow the care plan, and assist with the evaluation process.
• Working in partnership with the resident, their family/whānau and community.
• Anticipate residents' needs, understand their preferences, and communicate respectfully.
• Safety leadership, considering the health and safety of procedures and activities.
• Maintain a culture of excellence in provision of care and ensure ongoing professional development.
• Assist the Nurse Practitioners as requested.

Education
