Job summary

Te Rau Ora is seeking a curious, organised, and analytical person to join Te Rau Rangahau | Insights & Knowledge team in a fixed-term, part-time capacity (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week). This role provides essential support across research, evaluation, reporting, and insights to inform kaupapa Māori outcomes.

Location is negotiable; salary range NZD 72,423–108,635 FTE, pro-rated for part-time hours; immediate start.

Qualifications

  • Experience in research, evaluation, reporting, project support, or a similar field.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate findings for diverse audiences.
  • Clear communication of complex information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
  • Supporting programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities
  • Producing reports, summaries, visual insights, presentations, and other resources
  • Supporting kaupapa Māori research and evaluation approaches.
  • Using technology and digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to strengthen data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to support projects and share findings.

Salary:This is a 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) position. The full-time equivalent salary range is $72,423-$108,635, with a midpoint of $90,529. The salary offered will be pro-rated to reflect the part-time hours and will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside the Te Rau Rangahau team, you'll contribute to a variety of research, evaluation, and improvement activities, including:

  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
  • Supporting programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities
  • Producing reports, summaries, visual insights, presentations, and other resources that make information accessible and useful
  • Supporting kaupapa Māori research and evaluation approaches.
