Job summary

World Animal Protection seeks a Strategic Innovation Analyst to identify and shape new ideas that strengthen organisational effectiveness and support strategic priorities. You will work across teams to test assumptions and translate emerging ideas into practical, evidence-based propositions for strategic planning.

This role focuses on analysing opportunities, assessing risks, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive innovation and growth for animals worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic innovation, business improvement, organisational development, strategy or a related analytical field.
• Strong ability to apply frameworks and sound judgement to new ideas and organisational approaches.
• Experience working across functions to surface needs and develop proposals for innovation or improvement.
• Strong stakeholder consultation skills and understanding of strategic, operational realities across contexts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills.
• Experience assessing current ways of working and recommending practical improvements that deliver value.
• Ability to manage complex work independently while collaborating with colleagues.
• Understanding of how innovation, strategy, planning and organisational performance interact.

Responsibilities

• Identify innovation opportunities to strengthen effectiveness, delivery models, growth and impact.
• Collaborate across teams to surface challenges and transform them into actionable propositions.
• Assess strategic relevance, operational implications, risks and potential value of new approaches.
• Identify emerging market, partnership and organisational improvement opportunities.
• Consult with stakeholders to understand practical realities influencing innovation and change.
• Assess proposals, identify weaknesses and refine recommendations.
• Identify barriers and opportunities to improve innovation processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making and capability.
