Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Security Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, implement, and maintain security systems to protect digital assets and support security operations and infrastructure development.

You will automate security workflows, lead incident response, mentor juniors, and collaborate with DevSecOps across CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on network, cloud, and application security in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; advanced degrees valued.
• Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience in information security engineering or similar.
• Proven expertise in network security, cloud security architecture, and application security.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Deep understanding of threat landscapes, attack methodologies, and defensive strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
• Develop and maintain secure cloud infrastructure configurations and policies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
