The role requires 5+ years as an automotive technician in diagnostics, proficiency with OEM/aftermarket scan tools, and strong communication for virtual collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, concise diagnostic reports and repair recommendations to field technicians via digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth remote diagnosis of complex vehicle malfunctions using advanced diagnostic software and data analysis techniques.
• Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), sensor data, and vehicle communication bus information to identify root causes of issues.
• Provide clear, concise, and actionable diagnostic reports and repair recommendations to field technicians via digital platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve challenging diagnostic problems.
• Maintain and update the company's knowledge base with new diagnostic procedures and solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies and diagnostic methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician with a specialization in diagnostics.
• Expert proficiency in using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and Powertrain Control Modules (PCMs).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as ASE L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist) are highly preferred.
