A leading fiber optic company in New Zealand seeks a Regulatory Compliance Lead to manage compliance obligations and ensure regulatory audit readiness. We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Lead to own and drive the delivery of Tuatahi’s regulatory reporting and assurance responsibilities. This role is vital to ensuring Tuatahi remains compliant with statutory and industry requirements while strengthening internal controls and audit readiness.
Own the Regulatory Calendar – Set and manage Tuatahi’s compliance schedule to ensure all obligations are understood, assigned, and met on time.
Administer the Quality Management System (QMS) – Establish and maintain a documented framework to support internal procedures, regulatory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead Commerce Commission Engagement – Coordinate high-quality, timely responses to the Commerce Commission for reporting and information requests.
Drive Information Disclosure Audit Readiness – Act as Tuatahi’s lead for the annual audit, upskilling staff, coordinating documentation, and supporting continual improvement.
Contribute to Key Projects – Provide compliance input into business initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are built in from the outset.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be based in Hamilton; however, we will also consider candidates based in Tauranga.
A compliance qualification.
5+ years' experience in a quality or compliance role within a regulated sector (e.g., telecommunications, energy, finance, manufacturing).
Experience managing compliance frameworks or QMS, coordinating with auditors, and reporting to regulators.
Strong ability to interpret regulatory requirements, manage risks, and document obligations clearly.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence working across diverse teams.
Experience in regulated infrastructure, networks, or services is a strong advantage.
