MedRecruit Limited is assisting a public hospital in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, NZ to recruit a General Surgery Registrar on a permanent basis. The role offers exposure across inpatient and outpatient surgical services within a supportive public hospital environment.

The ideal start date is August 2026, with the hospital part of the District Health Board and providing a broad range of surgical services including General Surgery, Geriatrics, ENT, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, O&G and Radiology.

Our client is advertising an opportunity for a General Surgery Registrar to permanently join their team at a public hospital in New Zealand's North Island.

The ideal start date for this position is August 2026.

This hospital is part of the District Health Board and has a total of 220 beds.

There are multiple services including:

• Geriatrics
• General Surgery
• ENT
• Orthopaedics
• Paediatrics
• O&G
• Radiology

Location Information

The hospital is a 3-hour drive from Auckland, and 5.5 hours from Wellington.
