Job summary

Busy Bees Aotearoa is seeking passionate early childhood educators to join our nature-inspired centre in New Zealand. You will provide high-quality care and education for tamariki, guided by Te Whāriki, and work with a supportive team in welcoming environments.

You will engage families and whānau, continually develop your practice, and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Applicants must have Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification and current registration.

Qualifications

• Holds Level 7 ECE or Primary qualification and current registration.
• Values child-led discovery and pedagogical excellence in their practice.
• Builds warm and approachable relationships with whānau and tamariki.
• Honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi through inclusive and equitable mahi.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care and education for tamariki enrolled at the centre.
• Plan and guide the developmental journey of each tamaiti using Te Whāriki as a foundation.
• Implement the curriculum while bringing your own creative ideas to the daily programme.
• Build strong and authentic relationships with families and whānau.
• Maintain a high standard of physical care and hygiene throughout the day.
• Foster a welcoming and co-operative working atmosphere with the rest of the team.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to keep your practice current and transformative.
• Ensure the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of every child are met through a supportive environment.
