As a Registered Nurse, you will work across Ward 29 and the new SHANA unit, providing individualised, holistic care to surgical patients.SHANA is a five-bed, nurse-led, high-acuity surgical area staffed by two Registered Nurses. It cares for patients who require comprehensive monitoring and nursing intervention but do not require ICU or HDU care.In this role, you will use advanced patient assessment skills, provide heightened nursing vigilance, and apply critical thinking and clinical reasoning to deliver safe and effective patient care.
You will bring:A minimum of one year's recent surgical nursing experience as a New Zealand Registered NurseAdvanced Analgesia, CVAD, Negative Pressure Wound Therapy and IV cannulation certifications, or be working towards theseAdvanced patient assessment and clinical reasoning skillsExcellent communication skillsThe ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals and work within a multidisciplinary team
