Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills in a busy clinical setting.

Permanent, part-time role (0.8FTE) working 32-hours per week in medical wards at Whangārei Hospital

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centred nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes and support individuals and whānau throughout their healthcare journey.

You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring services are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with evidence-based practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

You will play an important role in health promotion, patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and supporting colleagues and learners.

About you
  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand, and a current practising certificate

  • Recent clinical nursing experience, ideally within a medical nursing environment
  • Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in a busy clinical environment
