Job description

Registered Nurse - Wairoa Hospital 12 month fixed - term to cover maternity leave.Fixed Term /Part - Time 64 hours fortnight 0.8 FTE

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will join our dedicated team at Wairoa Hospital and Health Centre, delivering high - quality, patient - centred care across a range of clinical settings. This fixed-term opportunity offers a diverse and rewarding scope of practice, where you'll use your assessment, clinical decision-making and nursing skills to provide care for patients and whānau in both the Acute Ward and Emergency Department.


Working in a rural health environment means no two days are the same. You will have the opportunity to build broad clinical experience across a variety of services, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and make a genuine impact in a close-knit community. This is an ideal role for a nurse who enjoys variety, autonomy and delivering meaningful care where it matters most.

Our Wairoa nursing team provides essential healthcare services to the local community through a collaborative and supportive rural hospital and health centre environment. We work closely together to deliver acute, emergency and community-focused care, ensuring patients receive high-quality treatment closer to home.
