Taupo Emergency Department is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse for a fixed-term, 0.8 FTE role covering parental leave. You will deliver compassionate nursing care across all ages in a rural ED, with a variety of shifts including nights and weekends. Join a close-knit team, supported by regional partners, and develop professionally in a welcoming Taupo community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent required.
• Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma desirable.
• Emergency Care Nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and teams.
• Flexibility to work varied roster including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in Taupo Emergency Department across all acuity levels.
• Roster shifts including nights and weekends as part of a 0.8 FTE fixed-term contract.
• Collaborate with the rural nursing team and Rotorua Hospital for support.
• Ensure high standards of patient safety and professional conduct.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, in Taupo Emergency Department, no 2 days are the same, providing nursing care for patients presenting acuity to a rural Emergency Department across all spans of life. We offer a variety of shifts, on-going professional development opportunities and professional support.

Our team of Registered Nurses are dedicated to providing the best level of care, whilst also managing to apply a rural lens to problem solving. The Hospital has a friendly and close knit team and also is able to rely on Rotorua Hospital for their support.
