About the Team

4 North Gynaecology is a supportive and collaborative ward with a strong team culture. Our Registered Nurses work closely with medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver person and whānau-centred care. We are proud of our passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated team who strive to provide the best possible experience for patients throughout their healthcare journey. We are committed to supporting professional growth and encourage ongoing learning and development. Our team fosters a positive environment where nurses are supported to expand their knowledge and skills and are provided with opportunities to further their professional practice. 4 North Gynaecology is a 14-bed inpatient ward with an adjacent treatment room, where patients are assessed after hours, have their care planned, and are either admitted or discharged home as appropriate.

Our specialty areas include:

• General Gynaecology
• Uro-Gynaecology
• Gynaecology Oncology
• Early Pregnancy Care (up to 20 weeks' gestation)
• Postnatal Care (from 12 days postpartum)

No two days are the same in our unit. In addition to caring for patients within our specialty services, we frequently provide care for patients from other specialties, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills, expand your knowledge, and build expertise within Women's Health.
