Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Greymouth Acute Zone. You will join Te Nikau Hospital’s team and provide care across ED, Short Stay Unit and Paediatric Ward on a casual basis.

The role requires current APC, RN qualification and experience in emergency departments, with TNCC/ENPC and triage knowledge preferred. A supportive team and forward planning for shifts are offered at Greymouth Hospital.

Qualifications

• Qualified registered nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate and a background in emergency departments.
• TNCC, ENPC and Triage experience would be advantageous.
• Motivated and adaptable within high pressure environments who can work with both paediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and stabilise acutely unwell paediatric and adult patients.
• Complete emergency procedures as required.
• Work across the Acute Zone, including ED, Short Stay Unit and Paediatric Ward.

Stretching from Karamea in thenorth to Haast in the south, we're the largest geographical Te Whatu Oralocality, with a population of just 32,500. Delivering healthcare in thisenvironment can be challenging.This is an excellent role for a Registered Nurse who islooking to step into or expand their skills within an acute and emergencyenvironment. This role will be working alongside our multidisciplinary teamwithin our Acute Zone. The Acute Zone service has 9 emergency beds, 4 shortstay beds and 2 paediatric beds and sees an average of 40 presentations perday.**About You*** This is an excellent role for a Registered Nurse who is looking to step into or expand their skills within an acute and emergency environment* Qualified registered nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate and a background based in emergency departments with an interest in paediatrics.
