Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a resident-focused aged care setting in New Zealand. The role focuses on clinical capability, compassionate care, and accountability with emphasis on accurate assessments, personalised care planning and high resident wellbeing.

Support is available for overseas applicants throughout the NZ nursing registration pathway, including guidance with the Nursing Council application and CAP consideration where required.

Qualifications

• RN qualification meeting NZ Nursing Council requirements
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate nursing experience
• Aged care or medical nursing experience preferred
• Willingness to complete NZ Nursing Council registration pathway
• IELTS or OET English language requirements
• InterRAI competency advantageous
• Registration applications support available for suitable international candidates
• CAP assistance may be considered for eligible overseas nurses

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, respectful and individualized nursing care to residents
• Complete clinical assessments and accurately monitor residents' health conditions
• Prepare, implement and regularly evaluate personalized nursing care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and nursing documentation
• Recognise changes in residents' conditions and take appropriate clinical action
• Promote dignity, independence, comfort and quality of life
• Build positive and respectful relationships with residents and their families
• Work closely with care assistants and other healthcare professionals
• Provide guidance, mentoring and clinical support to care assistants
• Encourage consistent application of nursing best practices
• Contribute to improvements in care quality, procedures and resident outcomes
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, residents and families
• Apply sound clinical judgement and practical, solution-focused approach
• Support a culturally respectful and inclusive care environment
• Maintain professional standards and comply with policies and procedures
