Job description
About us

Busy Bees Brooklyn is part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, giving you the support of a national organisation with the feel of a close-knit local centre. Our philosophy is shaped by the wind turbine on the hill: manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga, independence, and language, culture and identity work together to turn curiosity into knowledge. Kākano Room for our pēpi centres secure attachments, and gentle, sensory rich care, while Kōhuri Room for older tamariki invites challenge, responsibility and leadership through play. Our local curriculum is grounded in Te Whāriki and informed by Tātaiako, with creative, open-ended environments that honour identity. As a registered Kaiako with us, you’ll nurture a love of learning in a supportive, inclusive space where strong relationships and belonging set tamariki up for success.

About you

You hold NZ teacher registration (ECE or Primary) and bring warm energy, clear communication and a reflective mindset. You value inclusive practice and help tamariki feel confident in their own language, culture and identity while being accepting of others. You build strong relationships, and enjoy working in partnership around children’s interests, goals and holistic development. Planning, assessment and review are part of your practice.

  • Full Pay Parity
  • Discounted childcare
  • First aid certification, flu vaccines and uniforms
