Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Waikato in Hamilton is seeking a registered health professional to join the Waikato team of the Te Manawa Taki Regional Reintegration Service. You will provide clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention, and ACMHT liaison for tangata whaiora returning to the Waikato district, under supervision from the Lead Coordinator.

Qualifications

Current registration under the HPCA Act 2003 with an Annual Practising Certificate.
Experience in mental health, forensic, or justice-related settings is preferred.
Sound clinical knowledge in mental health and risk assessment.
Ability to work autonomously and manage complex caseloads.
Whānau-centred, collaborative approach with te ao Māori competencies encouraged.
Experience with Māori and Pasifika communities is valued.
Strong interpersonal and inter-agency liaison skills.
Current full driver's licence.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention, and ACMHT liaison for tangata whaiora returning to the Waikato district.
Build strong relationships with tāngata whaiora, whānau, and support agencies.
Identify reintegration needs and address unmet requirements.
Review mental health status and work with ACMHT; implement MYPLAN and recovery goals.
Follow tasks delegated by the Senior Coordinator and maintain risk management practices.
