Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead our Municipal operation in the Kopu / Thames region. You will work with the branch management to oversee site and employee management, safety culture, vehicle and site maintenance, and financial performance.

The role requires a strong health and safety track record, customer focus, and experience in operations. A company vehicle is provided, with travel across the region expected.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mid-sized teams.
• Ability to communicate across all levels of the business, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and discuss P&L variances.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making.
• Experience in transport, logistics, or the waste industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational and financial management of a group of sites and employees.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance across sites.
• Manage vehicles, site maintenance and budgets; meet financial targets.
• Liaise with municipal partner and large commercial customers as required.
