Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Hawke's Bay is seeking a Cardiologist to join a dedicated local team supporting the community's cardiology needs. You will lead the implantable device programme providing Brady pacing to LBAP, CRT and ICD therapies.

The role includes on-call 1/5, ward cover 2/8, outpatient clinics and outreach to rural centres. A supportive team backs the service, with strong links to Wellington tertiary providers.

Qualifications

• Cardiologist with inpatient and outpatient management experience.
• Experience leading implantable device programmes (Brady pacing, LBAP, CRT, ICD).
• Ability to work within a regional cardiology service with collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implantable device programme supporting Brady pacing to LBAP, CRT and ICD therapies.
• Provide on-call 1/5, ward cover 2/8, and participate in outpatient clinics and outreach to rural centres.
• Contribute to a growing regional cardiology service with strong support from Wellington tertiary providers.
