Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Pareora is seeking a Quality Assessor to help maintain and improve our quality systems across the Pareora site. You will ensure inspections, processes and documentation meet customer, regulatory, and company standards.

Your work will support delivering high-quality products and uphold the integrity and reputation of Silver Fern Farms, while championing compliance initiatives and enabling continuous improvement across processing teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Assurance/Control or Process Control required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills essential.
• Good organization, planning capability and a positive approach.
• Ability to balance QA and Production needs with diplomacy.
• Proficient computer skills across Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Quality Assessor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality systems across our site at Pareora Silver Fern Farms. You’ll ensure inspections, processes, and documentation consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company standards.

Your work will directly influence our ability to deliver high‑quality products and uphold the integrity and reputation of Silver Fern Farms. You’ll also champion our compliance initiatives and support continuous improvement across processing teams.

Shift Patten: Monday to Friday day shift 6.30am-4pm with flexibility required. July to October is 2pm to 10pm.

Please be aware that due to the nature of this position, while secure and permanent, it has a seasonal shutdown period annually for around 6-8 weeks.

We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and the right attitude, including:

• Experience in Quality Assurance/Control or Process Control
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Great organisation, planning capability, and a positive approach
• The ability to balance the needs of both Quality and Production with diplomacy
• Confident computer skills across Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
