Job summary

Bear Park Centre of Learning in Auckland is seeking a qualified teacher to join us as planning cover for a fixed-term maternity vacancy from June 2026 to June 2027. The role is part-time, 2 days per week, across all age groups, with three hours of dedicated planning time per week for each room team.

Based at Bear Park Remuera, you will contribute to a warm, child-centred environment that values the expressive languages of early learning. NZ Work Visa or residency required.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher qualification required.
• Experience in early learning settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning cover with 3 hours of dedicated planning per week per room.

The role

We are looking for a qualified teacher to join us in a part-time planning cover position for a fixed term maternity cover from June 2026 - June 2027. We offer each of our room teams 3 hours dedicated group planning per week. Our Planning Cover team work across all age groups during this time allowing each team the capacity to plan enriching, individualised learning opportunities for our children.

At Bear Park Remuera, from our spacious outdoor areas to our central piazza, we’ve created an environment that is natural, transparent and inspiring for all. We focus on the many expressive languages that children use and develop throughout their early years, with our performing arts room and central and classroom ateliers encouraging children to engage in the art of dance, drama, music, art and more.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work 2 days per week across all age groups in the centre.
