Job summary

BestStart Montessori Mosgiel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified & Certificated Teacher to join our Little Ferns infant room in Mosgiel. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, caring for children aged 0 to 2 years.

You will build secure relationships, support early learning, and contribute to curriculum planning in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• This role requires a BEd or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary).
• Current New Zealand Teacher Certification is required.
• A strong understanding of child-led learning and curriculum planning.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in teaching practice.

Responsibilities

• Build secure relationships with tamariki and whānau and support youngest learners through caring interactions.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Te Whāriki and ECE regulations.
• Collaborate with a warm, supportive team to maintain high standards.
