Job summary

Auckland Prison is seeking a registered psychologist to join the Intervention and Support Practice team. You will conduct psychological assessments, formulate treatment plans, and deliver individual and group interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs within the prison environment.

You will collaborate with health staff, custodial teams, and external providers, contributing to risk management and high-quality practice.

Qualifications

• Registered psychologist with experience handling complex presentations and applying assessment, formulation, and intervention skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Motivation for challenging casework and contributing to multidisciplinary decision making.

Responsibilities

• Complete psychological assessments and develop treatment and support plans.
• Provide individual and group interventions for clients with complex mental health needs.
• Collaborate with health staff, custodial teams, case managers, and external providers to support care and risk management.
