About The Role

We are keen to hear from Registrars who are seeking a Psychiatric Registrar opportunity at Whakatane Hospital. There are ten Psychiatric Registrar positions based in Tauranga and two positions based in Whakatane. This is inclusive of a relieving/float registrar at Tauranga Hospital. This position is for a non‑training registrar. Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty runs a training programme accredited by RANZCP and can provide both basic and advanced training. Priority will be given to doctors interested and committed to training.

We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4000 staff.
