Job summary

New Zealand Police are recruiting a Prosecution Support Officer based at Napier Police Station. This full-time role (40 hours/week) provides administrative support to the Prosecution Service, handling prosecution files, data entry, and liaison with PPS staff.

You will build knowledge of Police and Ministry of Justice processes, work with multiple stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering timely, accurate information to support the Criminal Justice Sector.

Qualifications

• Experience providing administrative support within a formal/prosecutorial environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with databases, spreadsheets and records management.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process prosecution files and records, recording and extracting relevant information.
• Check accuracy and completeness; follow up as directed by PPS staff.
• Manage databases and spreadsheets; respond to queries and provide information to PPS office.
