Job summary

Vinci Group seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination and delivery on the Datagrid AI Data Centre project near Invercargill. You will work with HEB Construction and VINCI Construction teams on earthworks, drainage, road works and sustainability requirements.

The role emphasizes coordinating subcontractors and site teams, maintaining cost controls and ensuring QA and safety standards across all disciplines, with opportunities to contribute to commissioning and handover

Qualifications

• Requires degree in civil engineering and significant field experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage, roadworks and utility interfaces preferred.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, manage procurement and monitor costs.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing construction programmes.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Reviewing drawings, specs and construction methods.
• Managing procurement and resource planning.
• Monitoring project costs and productivity.
• Maintaining QA systems and documentation.
• Driving health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Identifying and managing project risks.
• Supporting reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Providing engineering support to construction teams.
• Assisting with commissioning and handover activities.
