Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children seeks a Programme Coordinator to support rangatahi at Korowai Manaaki, Wiri, South Auckland. You will coordinate programmes with external providers, residential team leaders, and care teams to ensure content aligns with behavioural plans and rehabilitation goals.
The role requires building cross-cultural relationships, delivering engaging daily programmes in a Youth Justice environment, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Here at Korowai Manaaki we provide a safe, secure and supportive environment where rangatahi (young people) who have offended can make changes and get their lives back on track. In addition to maintaining secure facilities, we aim to help rehabilitate young offenders.
The Programme Coordinator collaborates closely with external providers, residential team leaders, case leaders and care teams to ensure programmes and content are relevant to behavioural plans, interventions and the needs of young people. Fostering key relationships and networks with external providers of programmes is vital along with the ability to review and monitor programme delivery and outcomes.
Please note that the successful candidate must meet the safety checking and police vetting requirements required under the Children's Act. This includes a police vetting where the Clean Slate scheme does not apply. They also will hold a full, clean New Zealand drivers licence.
Oranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $68,371 and $75,501 dependant on experience.
