Job summary

Health New Zealand – Allied Health invites an experienced dental professional to become Allied Health Professional Lead for Child & Adolescent Oral Health in the MidCentral district. You will influence professional practice, lead a workforce, and drive sustainable improvements across tamariki and rangatahi services.

You’ll partner with the Clinical Director and Operations Lead to develop workforce capability, governance, and new care models, while building strong relationships with education

Qualifications

• Dental Council registration and a current APC.
• 5+ years' relevant clinical experience.
• Proven leadership, mentoring or supervision experience.
• Strong understanding of professional standards and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current full driver's licence.

About the role

As our Allied Health Professional Lead, you'll be the professional voice for Dental Therapists and Dental Assistants across the MidCentral district. Working alongside the Clinical Director, Operations Lead and Service Coordination Lead, you'll provide expert professional advice and leadership while helping create a workforce that is skilled, supported, connected and ready for the future.

The Child and Adolescent Oral Health Service provides assessment, treatment, prevention and oral health management for children and young people up to 18 years across the MidCentral district. Our focus is simple: Better oral health. Better experiences. Better outcomes for tamariki and whānau.
