Looking for flexible work in a busy food production environment? The Recruitment Network (TRN) is looking for reliable and hardworking Production Operators & Process Workers to join our casual workforce across multiple production sites in Auckland.
We have opportunities available in Wiri, Ōtāhuhu and Silverdale, with a wide variety of shifts across early mornings, daytime, afternoons and overnight production.
These are casual positions, making them ideal if you want flexibility around your availability. For people who are reliable, perform well and have good availability, there is the potential for regular and consistent hours.
What you'll be doing
Depending on the site and shift, your duties may include:
- Setting up, operating and cleaning production machinery and equipment
- Working on fast-paced food production and packing lines
- Handling food products safely and accurately
- Packing, stacking and moving finished products
- Completing basic production documentation
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and housekeeping
- Assisting with changeovers and production requirements
- Supporting the wider production team to meet daily targets
What we're looking for:
Production or manufacturing experience is an advantage, particularly within the food manufacturing industry, but we're also interested in people with the right attitude who are willing to learn.
You'll need to be:
- Reliable and punctual production teams rely on everyone being ready to go at the start of the shift
- Physically fit and capable of regularly lifting up to 25kg
- Comfortable with repetitive and physical work throughout your shift
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold production environments
- Safety conscious with good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions, processes and food safety requirements
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
- A good team player with a positive, practical attitude
- Able to communicate effectively and complete basic written documentation
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
Experience with HACCP or other food safety systems would be an advantage.
Some opportunities may also require a current Forklift and/or Reach Truck licence, so make sure you let us know if you have one!
