  • Proven ability to deliver cost efficiencies and value improvements through sourcing initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience in health sector or large public sector organisations will be advantageous

About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a large organisation within the health sector, supporting the procurement and contracting of goods, services and works that enable the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across New Zealand.

Reporting to the Sourcing Execution Lead, you will lead sourcing activities, manage RFx processes, and develop robust contracts that deliver value, efficiency and compliance. This is a commercially significant role that works closely with category management teams, senior stakeholders and suppliers to deliver strategic procurement outcomes.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring category expertise in outsourcing, and IT, with the ability to operate across complex and high-value procurement portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing and RFx processes

  • Partner with category management teams to develop procurement strategies and plans

About You

You will be an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial judgement and the ability to work in complex environments.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • 5+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement or contract management
  • Strong experience managing RFx processes and contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated category expertise in outsourcing/IT
  • Knowledge of government procurement frameworks and regulations
  • Proven ability to deliver cost efficiencies and value improvements through sourcing initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Experience in the health sector or other large public sector organisations will be advantageous.
