OceanaGold Corporation in Otago, NZ, is seeking an entry-level Reagent and Services Operator for the Macraes Process Plant. You will operate and optimise the Reagent Mixing and Services circuit, following operating sheets, training manuals, and procedures.

Residential role in Otago with 7 days on/off roster (day/night), competitive salary plus potential quarterly bonuses, and onsite support like healthcare, transport and study assistance.

Qualifications

• Full and current NZ work rights required.
• OSH-approved forklift license is preferred.
• Driver licence (manual vehicle driving preferred).

Responsabilités

• Complete documentation: log sheets, logbooks and checklists.
• Mix reagents and media; report variances promptly.
• Ensure dams meet standards and complete daily checklists.
• Participate in development and continuous improvement activities.
• Liaise with operators and plant staff to minimise downtime.
• Handover with incoming/outgoing operators at each shift.
• Assist with mechanical/electrical/metallurgical/services tasks to maximise plant availability.

Job Description

If you're keen to start a career in Mine Processing, this could be the perfect entry‑level role for you. Our Macraes Process Plant are on the search for a Reagent and Services Operator.

This position will be responsible for operating and optimising the process plant Reagent Mixing and Services circuit in accordance with critical operating sheet, training manuals and standard operating procedures. Additionally, you'll be identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing approved changes.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Completing all relevant documentation to ensure accurate record keeping e.g. log sheets, logbooks and checklists.
• Mixing reagents and adding media to mills as required. Report all unrectified variances to the Shift Coordinator in a timely manner.
• Ensuring the dams meet the required standards and completing daily checklists.
• Actively participating in all professional development and continuous improvement activities, including operating plant areas when required
• Liaising with other operators, gold room staff and plant personnel to minimise downtime.
• Effectively completing a handover with incoming/outgoing area operators each shift. Ensure all relevant information is communicated.
• Assisting with mechanical/electrical/ metallurgical/ services/gold room tasks as required ensuring maximum availability of the Processing Plant. This includes general tasks, screen changes, autoclave, mill and floation inspections, pipeline repairs and service area inspections.

Qualifications

• Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
• OSH approved Forklift license, or similar would be well regarded
• Current New Zealand work rights are required for this position

Experience

• Previous processing plant experience, or similar, will be well regarded
• Forklift, truck and skid steer loader experience an advantage
