Job summary

New Zealand Police, Porirua, is seeking a Process Advisor – Financial Processing to support a modern finance function and strengthen internal controls. The role focuses on documenting end-to-end processes, delivering improvements, and enabling efficient financial operations across Shared Services.

You will work with Finance, ICT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, coordinate change initiatives, and provide practical guidance to staff while upholding governance and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience analysing, documenting, and improving business or financial processes.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into clear and practical guidance.
• Experience supporting, coordinating, or delivering change and improvement initiatives.
• A focus on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and achieving results.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial services.

As a Process Advisor – Financial Processing, you will provide specialist process, systems, and project support to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processing activities.

You will work closely with Finance, ICT, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, document end-to-end processes, coordinate change initiatives, and support the successful implementation of new or enhanced ways of working.

You will play a key role in ensuring process improvements maintain strong internal controls, support compliance requirements, and deliver practical benefits to customers and staff alike.

This position is covered by a collective agreement, and salary will commence between $81,098 and $93,479 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
