Te Puni Kōkiri invites applications for the Aporei | Principal Advisor, Iwi and Māori Relationsrole in Wellington, NZ. You will develop frameworks to strengthen Māori–Crown engagement and provide strategic leadership, trusted advice, and mentoring within the Iwi and Māori Relations team.

The role focuses on enabling informed decision-making, guiding key forums and accords, and contributing to engagements across iwi, Crown agencies, and stakeholders to advance Māori development across Aotearoa.

Responsibilities

• Develop frameworks that strengthen Māori–Crown engagement and relationships
• Provide trusted advice to support key forums, accords and engagement with iwi and Crown agencies
• Lead strategic kaupapa projects and contribute to engagement across iwi, Crown agencies and stakeholders
• Prepare and review Ministerial and Chief Executive briefings
